On September 26, 2021 Mike was diagnosed with Covid. He started out running a fever with body aches which progressed into trouble breathing. He went to the hospital on October 6, 2021 where they assessed him and quickly seen that he was very sick. His oxygen was extremely low and which they immediately started oxygen. They did a scan and seen that he had a substantial amount of fluid build up in his lungs and had double pneumonia. They then did a d-dimer test on him to see if there was any blood clots. When the results came back the doctor said his number was off the charts . He does have a blood clot/clots but they was unable to tell where they were. The doctor told us if one traveled to his lungs that his body and lungs could not handle it. They quickly started him on many medications and blood thinner. Throughout that night he worsened and was moved into ICU where he was put on a by-pass machine. We was told that the by-pass machine is the last step before life support. As of this morning his kidneys was not working properly . We are praying for nothing short of a miracle right now. The doctors said that he's looking at 10-20 days in the hospital plus recovery time. Any money raised will go to his recovery and loss of time from work and any medical expenses.
