Meet Karen Verceles
A loving mother, wife, sister, and friend. In May of 2015 she was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. Though this is one of the more aggressive and fast moving cancers, she was hopeful and optimistic for a good outcome and decided to fight it. She endured her first round of chemotherapy, which seemed successful as her cancer marker levels fell drastically. This success was short-lived, as her marker levels rose to even greater amounts. Even then, she wanted to continue to fight and endure a second round of chemo. With Christmas around the corner, the treatment was postponed until after the holidays. However, Karen couldn't wait that long. Her battle ended as she passed away early morning on January 4th at the age of 48. Any donations will help to give Karen the proper memorial and respect that she so rightfully deserves.
