Hi, I’m Lorraine from California. I’m here to try and raise some money for some friends in Jamaica.

We all know how devastating natural disasters can be. This past week, Jamaica was hit with a historic Category 5 hurricane. The beautiful island and its people have been devastated by Melissa, with many losing their homes and some losing their lives. So many will have to start over.

Though there are lots of organizations and people raising money to help, I’m here to focus on some friends I have on the island, specifically in the Cottage community of Westmoreland Parish. So much has been lost.

The money raised from this will be a direct benefit to two families who have lost everything and are in need of immediate assistance. All money will be spent on helping them rebuild their homes as well as providing food, clothing, and medication.
