Passing of Mark Baljeet

Funds in excess of the final expenses will be utilized for a memorial service and/or charity of the families choosing.  All papers shall be made in the form, of cash, credit card, and/or check.  Dear Family, Friends, and Loved Ones, It is with great sadness that we inform you of Mark Baljeet's passing.  Mark was a beloved family member, dedicated friend, loyal manager, and an all in Saints Fan.  Mark passed on Saturday, January 26, 2019, from an apparent heart attack.  We believe he died peacefully in his sleep and without suffering.  


The family is making arrangements for the funeral and viewing at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (155 Linwood Ave, Ridgewood, NJ 07450) on Saturday, February 2, 2019.  The viewing will begin at 9:00 AM, with the service starting at 10:30 AM.  Mass transit is readily available and one block away from the Church via NJ Transit Train service direct from the city (45 minutes train ride from Penn Station at 8:14 AM with the train arriving in Ridgewood train Station at 9:01 am).  


Due to the expense of the funeral and the position of his finances, the family is accepting donations through GoFundMe me to cover funeral expenses and other immediate personal debts.

In response to GoFundMe's request for further transparency to this campaign dated 2/4/2019, we are updating this page to inform you how the donations will be used.    

I am Scott Longazel and reside in Waldwick, NJ - cousin to the deceased Mark Baljeet.  I, along with several family members, made arrangements with upfront payments for the funeral of Mark Baljeet and his immediate personal expenses.  All donations received shall be used to reimburse the family members for funeral-related expenses via check from Scott Longazel or direct deposit.  Donations shall be used to reimburse the family members who arranged for the following:

7.) Church Assistance Gratuity for Staff Arrangements, Technology, and Day Porter - Bethlehem Lutheran Church
8.) Mark's Immediate Liabilities including Rent and Utilities - Paid directly to his roommate (name not provided for confidentiality purposes and PII)

12.) Tombstone Engraving
13.) Cleaning and Clearing of Marks' personal property/possessions

In full disclosure,  I, Scott Longazel, in the absence of evidence to a solvent estate, have made upfront payments for items 1 through 8, and I may be reimbursed up to, but not in excess of, the full amount of the funds personally paid to cover Mark's upfront funeral-related and personal expenses.  Family members who contributed and covered other expenses may also be reimbursed up to, but not in excess of, their contributions towards Mark's funeral and immediate personal related expenses via check directly from me.   It should be noted that Marks' estate is assumed insolvent, and has not been accessed at the time of this writing due to New York State's timeline and sequential requirements for processing death certificates and requirements for accessing financial accounts.
