Hi everyone,

Yesterday afternoon, while on a trip, we stopped for a quick lunch break with our puppy, Churro. He’s an extremely sweet 4 month old cocker spaniel mix and weighs just 11 pounds.

While sitting outside, we noticed small blue pills scattered on the ground. Before we could react, Churro, being a curious puppy, accidentally ingested one. By looking up the pill number, we learned it was Naproxen, which is highly toxic to dogs, especially one as small as him.

We immediately contacted a vet and were told he needed to be hospitalized for intensive treatment to prevent serious complications and death. Churro is currently receiving care, including IV fluids, monitoring, and medications to protect his kidneys and stomach from failure.

The cost of his treatment has already exceeded $3,000, which has been difficult for us as college students. We are doing everything we can to make sure he gets the care he needs.
