So as many of you know Jake and I experienced a roller coaster of emotions last October. He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a devastating form of brain cancer. Two weeks later we found out we were pregnant with Maddie Grace. Stating the obvious, we experienced every emotion imaginable. She came along just in the knick of time and lit a fire under him to fight this AWFUL disease.
Fast forward 10 months, we now have a beautiful baby girl and Jake was doing as well as could be expected up until this point. Jake has been told that he can no longer take the treatments he was getting at Vanderbilt. They have referred him to University of Michigan where they will partner with the Cleveland Clinic. As of today, Jake got abnormal results from his spinal tap he had yesterday and the pressure in his brain is very extreme. He was told we need to get to Michigan as soon as possible. We can no longer take this casually. It's time to fight.....even harder than he has been.
Here is where you come in. Jake has worked his butt off to support Maddie and I since May when I lost my job. With one income and outrageous medicine and treatment costs (not to mention the cost of having a baby), we have drained all of our resources. Bills continue to pile up each month.
Now we are two of the most prideful people you will ever meet me. We'd rather do just about anything than ask for help, but as my mentor would say, "An acronym for EGO is Easing God Out." The last thing we want to do is ease God out when we need His healing touch so much right now. We don't want to take away anyone's blessing, so if you are able and feel in your heart that you should help....we desperately need it. Any money donated will go towards paying for his treatment and getting Maddie and I up to Michigan so we can support Jake while he endures these excruciating treatments.
We love you all and we thank you for your continued prayers.
