FC Ukraine United - 2022 Season & Player support

We are FC Ukraine United. A Non Profit Ukrainian community soccer club in Toronto, Canada. Founded in 2006 to bring Ukrainian players together to compete in the Ontario Soccer League and participate in local and international tournaments. Over the years, the club's membership includes players from all different nationalities and has enriched our communities with diversity. In 2014, following the events in Ukraine, FC Ukraine United started to bring in professional Ukrainian soccer players to Canada, and the team began competing in the Canadian Professional Soccer League. These players were able to experience life in Canada while playing soccer and helping grow the quality of our game. With the help of sponsors, we have been able to bring over 60 players from Ukraine. Many with the team's support have resettled in Canada with their families, and some returned to Ukraine. The team has helped our players develop strong friendships, support systems, and ties to a Ukrainian community that they have left behind. For many players the importance of the team cannot be understated as a place to meet with friends, get a workout, and enjoy the beautiful game of soccer.

 

Since the pandemic's start, we have lost much of our sponsorship. Many of our Ukrainian players are stranded in Ukraine and unable to return. Additionally there have been many who have contacted our organization from Ukraine looking for help when they arrive in Canada. The goal of our fundraising is for our community team to continue to grow and be a strong support system for our members. The funds will go towards our league fees, which include memberships, field use, referees, uniforms, and more. Additionally funds will also be used to help those stranded in Ukraine and we will help them find their way back to Canada.
