FC Prinsloo Funeral & Help for Wife Estelle

Our hearts are shattered and broken today. Our dear friend Professional Hunter, FC Prinsloo has gone to heaven, succombing to multiple injuries from a cape buffalo attack. Please pray for his dear wife Estelle and the Bushmans Quiver Quality African Safaris family. We are all simply devastated, but we know that he is at peace in heaven now with Jesus and no longer in pain and suffering. Prinsloo is in a South Africa hospital fighting to survive a cape buffalo attack.  August 13, 2019 was a very sad day for the Bushmans Quiver Quality African Safaris family as our dear friend Professional Hunter, FC Prinsloo was severely attacked and gored by a cape buffalo in the chest and thigh. The cape buffalo had previously been caught and injured in a poacher’s snare, and burst from dense cover and bore down on FC before he could defend himself.  As a consequence, the cape buffalo inflicted a severe goring and trampling on FC resulting in multiple injuries. FC was evacuated by helicopter to the nearest hospital and is currently being maintained in an intensive care unit. 

FC is in ICU on a ventilator and has been since the day of the accident. While his vital signs have been generally stable for most of the time, he has been unable to communicate and has been heavily sedated. He now has a fever pointing to an infection so the Doctor’s performed another surgery on August 21, 2019 and found the source of the infection in his intestines. He has wounds that have serious infection that need a lot of attention. He will be going to surgery again Friday, August 23, 2019 for more wound cleaning. They are monitoring his wounds 24/7. According to FC’s Doctor, he will be under heavy sedation and on the ventilator for quite some time. A tracheotomy was performed so that the ventilator no longer has to be through his mouth. In the future, skin grafts along with skin transplants will be necessary. No doubt, the road ahead is a long one for FC and his dear wife Estelle.

FC and his wife Estelle face many challenges in the coming days, weeks and months. FC does not have medical aid and he is currently being treated in a government hospital. We are trying to raise funds to get him transferred to a private medical facility where he will receive the best possible care once he truly stabilized.
