Hi, my name is Emmanuel and I'm asking for your help urgently.

I have lived an extraordinarily turbulent life so far. After fleeing from Liberia to Ghana because of the war, my little sister and I got adopted from Ghana to the Netherlands. The household that adopted us was violent and unsafe, and after 5 years, they dropped us back in Ghana and destroyed our documents (passports / birth certificates). I did everything I could to get us back to the Netherlands, and after 2 years my sister got readopted! I only managed to get back at 18 years old and thus started part 2 of my crazy journey:

For 8 years I was in and out of homeless shelters, living in hostels, sleeping on the street, working many different jobs, trying many different schools, trying therapy but noticing more than anything else: the system is failing!

After a long struggle I have managed to get back on my feet, with my own place however I am being chased by debt collectors and the stress of this is becoming unbearable. I long to finally live a peaceful life and am therefore asking for your help.

The debts exist of college tuition, fines for public transport (I didn't have money but needed to travel to work and school), costs of the homeless shelter (they require a daily contribution) and unpaid health insurance costs (this insurance is mandatory in the Netherlands). Because I could not pay all of these in a timely manner, the bills ended up in the hands of debt collection agencies and have more than quadrupled. Now I am being chased and face ending up on the streets again.

With your donations I will be able to pay off my debts and continue building my life. My main goal in life is to be able to support others going through similar situation, but to be able to do this, I need to create stability for myself first.
