CAPG - Freedom for Ukraine

The Chorley Anglo Polish Group was founded a number of years ago with the goal of bringing people together who's parents and or grandparents came from countries that were devastated by war in Europe.

Chorley became an incredible melting pot were people from countries like Ukraine, Austria, Hungary the list went on got together, had families and became proud to be English.

What no-one anticipated was war breaking out again in our democratic and free Europe.

The sadness and hurt we feel for the people of Ukraine who have endured so much again gives us the strength and resolve to support their cause.

Chorley may not be the biggest nor the wealthiest town in the UK but it certainly has one of the biggest hearts. " We simply want to do more ".

With the help from Chorley and District Support for Ukraine ( established by Stuart Clewlow, see on facebook ) two of us, myself Frank Liszczyk and Steven Norris will leave Chorley on the 20th April with a large van load of essential supplies and drive to the border of Poland and Ukraine.

However small this contribution may seem the after effects of this disgusting war will continue for years, if we don't provide support now there may not be a future.

We are asking for financial support to start this mission of compassion, strength and love.
