My name is Brandy. I live in the US I share a home with my boyfriend Carlos in Jamaica our home thankfully was not impacted. I’m starting this GoFundMe to help families on the countryside of Jamaica Flamstead/Tangle River and in our neighborhood The Estuary Housing Scheme who were hit hard by the recent hurricane. Many of these families and their community—live far from the main cities and don’t have access to the same help or resources that other areas receive. Their homes were destroyed by Hurricane Melissa.

Most people in this community work in the tourism industry, and since the storm, many are struggling just to afford food. The money raised will go directly toward helping them buy supplies to rebuild homes, food and basic necessities while they work to rebuild their lives.

These are kind, hardworking people who have always helped others when they could—now they’re the ones in need. Any amount you give will help put food on someone’s table and bring hope back to a community that’s hurting.
