Hola Family and Friends:
In 2006 I accepted the call to serve as a missionary and went on my first missionary journey. My how time flies! Since then I have humbly served on many journeys both domestically and internationally. Recently the Lord opened the door to another opportunity for me to take part in a short-term mission trip. This time it is to Huaral, Peru.
My home church, The First Baptist Church of Glenarden, in Maryland, has been sending missionaries to Huaral, Peru for five years. Our Pastor’s vision includes a 10 year holistic plan to send several teams a year to serve the community with the hope that they will in time become self sustaining. Some of these areas include health education, clean water supply, educational techniques for the teachers and youth empowerment.
The main focus for our mission trip will be on serving at a youth camp but we are taking direction from our hosts in Peru and our partners, World Vision International.The dates for the journey are August 4 – 10, 2018. I am so grateful and looking forward to serving.
Please accept the challenge to become part of our team by first praying for everyone in the community in Huaral, Peru and those traveling from FBCG and World Vision. Secondly please consider becoming a Partner to Peru 2018 (#PTP2018) by contributing to the cost of the mission. I need to raise $2,700.00 by July 4, 2018. The funds are used for lodging, transportation and mission supplies. Please consider donating $10.00, $20.00, $100.00 or whatever you can.
Your contribution to the Partner to Peru 2018 fund is tax deductible and is greatly appreciated. In this way, you are working together with us in spreading the truth of Jesus Christ to “the uttermost parts of the earth” (Mat 28:18–20, Acts 1:7–8)
