Bill Usher was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer in early October 2022.

The Usher Family is starting this fundraiser for our dear brother and brother-in-law as he is struggling with the mounting medical bills. Shortly after being diagnosed, Bill began a very aggressive and difficult treatment of a combination of strong chemotherapy and radiation. Bill worked through much of his treatment to try and cover the cost of his bills but there came a point where he could no longer work. Bill finished this round of treatment but the doctors are unsure whether they were able to get all of the cancer. With that uncertainty, more appointments and specifically expensive PET scans are needed, which he has to pay out of pocket. Bill has pushed himself to get back to work but can’t work full-time yet so he’s really struggling to pay his medical costs. He also has more issues that have come about due to the side effects of the treatments that are adding to his out-of-pocket expenses.

Bill knows and helps many people in both the Guilderland and Voorheesville Communities having worked at Robinson Hardware for almost 8 years as well as other small businesses in Voorheesville for over a decade. Over the years Bill would do anything to help anyone and now he is the one who needs help. Any amount you are willing and able to donate is so appreciated.
