This is a very hard thing to do for us, but we’re in a very difficult situation and this is our LAST resort. We bought our home a little over a year ago, and for a while everything was great. We knew coming into this there would be things we would need to do/fix but not to the point we are now. Two days after we had our daughter, we got a huge storm and our bedroom ceiling started to leak.. my husband fixed it. Next storm, it leaked again. We will eventually have to replace the roof. Fast forward to a month later, we find out we have termites. Like not a few, but several everywhere. They have already caused so much damage to our home. Fast forward to two days ago, I kept smelling an odd smell in the bathroom, so we pulled up a board and it opened a huge mess and we are just so lost and have no words. As if a roof leak, termites, and inflation wasn’t enough for a family who is trying their hardest in tough times. We found mold, continued to rip it up and it didn’t stop. Our entire back half of our home is covered in mold and will have to all be replaced and unfortunately we do not have the funds to fix all of this on top of working to stay afloat. We’ve had to throw away a lot of our belongings and furniture because of this. My husband works 6 days a week for us, and it is just not enough with everything going on. He is so wore down, and so am I. We are trying to hard to be positive. It just keeps getting worse. We are counting our blessings during this time. How the mold formed is a different issue, it’s structural and that’s a whole other ballgame in itself. Had we known this, we would’ve never bought this home and before you ask, yes it passed inspection. I have no idea how, but it did. We are struggling to keep up and we have a long road ahead of us to fix all of this while still paying to live, eat and have a life. Anything is appreciated and if you can’t donate, please pray for us because we know that God is in control and that there is light at the end of this and we just have to continue to follow it. We don’t have much to offer as a thank you, but we do have a garden with homegrown vegetables that we’d love to share, and I pour a lot of my time into baking, so we’d love to share baked goods as well.
