Support the Sherman Family

Sally was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in late December.  She is grateful that the doctors have acted quickly from the start and have defined her cancer as “treatable and beatable.”   Just three weeks after her initial diagnosis, she will begin an aggressive treatment plan at Dana Farber that begins on January 13, 2020.  Sally will undergo twelve weeks of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, and then radiation.  Sally's current treatment plan extends well into 2020, and while this will be a long battle, her family and friends will be there every step of the way. 

Sally will need to take some time off from teaching while undergoing treatments.  While the total financial burden is unknown, we know the out-of-pocket costs associated with treatments, travel to and from Boston, meals, childcare, and the unknown will add up quickly. 

Sally is a devoted mom to two incredible kids, Ben (4.5) and Ellie (14 months), a loving wife to Eric, a wonderful daughter and an amazing friend.  She does it all and always puts others' needs before her own.  In that spirit, let's come together and support them so they can focus on fighting breast cancer and taking care of their family.
