Hi everyone. I'm Phil, owner of Fazed Escape Room. On the morning of Oct 6th, 2024 my business unfortunately had the ceiling and rooms damaged by water. Not just a little bit of water. It was a continuous shower for 5 hours. A water line from the business above blew a line and leaked overnight. All 3 of my themed rooms were damaged including all the floors, drywall and furniture. Oct 5th we had a grand opening our newest themed room which took me the better part of 4 years to hand-build and design. It took time away from my family so I could build us a better future. It also took what Fazed had left to offer regarding financial support.

Where I am at today is nothing short of bad luck and timing. My insurance company dropped my contents insurance without my knowledge 2 years ago. The hopes of recovering lost revenue is pretty much out the window. I am currently in talks with my broker to rectify the situation but the damage is done and we are now closed until the rooms are repaired. As you guessed, I had to cancel parties, events, bookings, and respond to phone calls and emails about our closure.

I cannot pay any bills, leftover wages, rent, and some replacement pieces until whenever Insurance, and whoever else gets settled. All those who know me I never ask for help financially but I am struggling, stressed, not sleeping, and the like. It has been a terrible 2024 and I would like to put it all behind me in hopes of a better year ending.

Any support will be going to keep my bills paid, rent, and the last week of wages for my now displaced employees. I feel ashamed for asking but I don't have a choice. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm sorry.
