Fayth’s recovery fund

This is Fayth, our 10 year old neighbour. December 18th fayth woke up for school feeling pretty under the weather. Her mom decided it’d be better to stay home and rest so they all skipped school and had a day of rest. Over the next few days symptoms worsened with the high temperatures and strong cold symptoms. Treatments at home were no longer working so Amanda ( her mom) took her to emergency to be seen. After a wait in emergency and a quick drs visit they were sent home with your usual rest, fluids, Tylenol recommendation. The very next day she woke up with a swollen eye and was lethargic and incoherent. They rushed her back to emergency where she received antibiotics, some blood work and tests and sent her back home to rest.

when the tests came back the following morning , the severity of what was happening became real for this family. Fayth had contracted strep throat and the bacteria quickly spread to her blood which formed a blood clot behind her eye. She was transported to Kamloops hospital where it was further found she also has influenza. She is undergoing treatment in Kamloops with her family at her side. They expect to be there for 2-4 weeks.

we are all praying for a full recovery for Fayth. In the meantime her family could use a hand with expenses. Loss of work, travel costs. Some things could be fixed on their vehicle to make it reliable for transporting them and their other children to and from treatments etc and daily necessities as a family of 6 would be such a relief during this terrying ordeal.

All funds will go directly to the mother, she is the beneficiary.
