Help Fund Faye’s Transition
Hi! My name is Faye, and I’m a 21 year old trans woman living in Scotland.
I’ve been out for over a year and corresponding with health professionals for the last 2 years. As many people know, the NHS is not the most accessible for trans people, especially at the moment, I’m sure I don’t need to go into the politics of this - but it’s to the point I am currently self medicating and having to correspond with private clinics due to receiving no help.
The majority of this money will be going towards FFS (Facial Feminisation Surgery). This is by far my biggest concern and even if I was having luck with the NHS, it’s usually not something they can provide anyway.
The excess money will be going towards travel and lodging for when I get my surgery, and electrolysis hair removal for my beard - which is also one of my biggest causes of dysphoria. Any excess after that could hopefully fund private appointments with healthcare professionals, however I am capable of paying for my hormones myself.
Top surgery, and gender reassignment surgery are something I am not including in this and considering at this time. I’m sure I can figure that out in the future.
This is really a life saving journey for me. Transitioning so far has saved my life. I would just love to safely complete my transition so I can continue with it.
