Meet Sydney-Mae
This is my friend Aimeè and her beautiful, fun-filled daughter. Aimeè has been my friend since school, about 25 years... I know, I know it doesn't look possible!
Sydney-Mae is a beautiful 7 and a half year old girl from Burgess Hill. Unfortunately during her birth she was starved of oxygen, therefore causing Cerebral Palsy.
She is a very happy girl, and enjoys life very much, despite the fact she cannot walk, talk, crawl, sit unaided, self feed or tend to her self needs.
Sydney-Mae is unable to play in the traditional sense, as her hands aren't of much use to her. She thoroughly enjoys playing, laying on the floor, with sensory toys and gets a great deal out of these toys.
Aimeè and her husband Ross are fundraising to build a cabin in their back garden for Sydney-Mae to use as a Sensory Room. This room will be Sydney-Mae's space where she can play, but also have down time, allowing her muscles to relax, whilst watching lights, bubble lamps, listening to music as well as other sensory activities.
I'm running the Brighton Half Marathon on Feb 28th... Would you please help me raise funds so The Wiggins Family can reach their target of £5,000 and give this girl a special place.
Please share this page.
My target may seem ambitious but aim big right?
HUGE thanks in advance.
