It is with a very heavy heart, I write this about my father, Fausto.
Fausto Ramos, a devoted husband, father of two daughters and grandfather of four boys went to the ER after emergency crew needing to be called out to our home for extreme pain on his shoulder, back and difficulty breathing, something we imagined would be a pinched nerve or something simple and that we would be in and out. He was diagnosed on February 5th, 2019 with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. This form of cancer has spread from where it was first formed into multiple tumors on his back and ribs. We are exploring all options including chemotherapy pills and injections since stage 4 prostate cancer isn’t curable but only kept under control. Since the week long hospitalization in February Fausto has continued to work and provide for his family, it has reached a point where he is no longer able to work due to extreme pain on his back from all of the movements he makes and heavy lifting. Fausto has worked as an Austin American Statesmen newspaper delivery driver at night for 20 years and works as an Auto parts delivery driver throughout the day.
Those who know my father Fausto would vouch for him being the most loyal of friends, a caring and hardworking family man. He needs the support, prayers, and funds to help him and our family through these rough days ahead.
We are requesting funds as soon as possible to help with all aspects of his cancer treatment and acquired hospital charges which is over $60,000. Since his diagnosis he has been put on 12 daily medications and also an injection called Lupron which is a type of hormone therapy that works by lowering the amount of testosterone in a male’s body which makes it difficult for the cancer cells to continue growth and it is very expensive. This sudden diagnosis has been devastating to all our family.
Any small donation would go a long way to save him and help his family. Please keep us all in your prayers.
Thank you
Fausto Ramos and family.
