Hello friends! My name is Fausto Rivera, and I am making a new work with my best friend/long time collaborator Cheryl Delostrinos. This new duet will premiere at On the Boards as part of the Northwest New Works festival, June 16th and 17th. (tickets here!) Cheryl and I have been dancing and creating together for almost 10 years. We are two of the cofounders of Au Collective and together we've pushed ourselves to create art that feels honest and necessary for our communities. We're honored and excited to present work at On the Boards, but we need your help to get there.
This new POC and women driven project also counts on the support of photographer, Frank Correa (whose work you can see above and below), lighting designer Sara Torres, and production manager Hallie Scott. Our work contributes ardent and hopeful narratives to the community in a time when pursuing creative endeavors feels more dire than ever. Your support will go towards compensating the artists for their time, labor, and talent; and will also cover the cost of rehearsal space, props, and promotional materials. We are under the fiscal sponsorship of Au Collective, so all donations are tax deductible. Any amount is helpful and appreciated and will be met with infinite gratitude.
