Running the Eugene Marathon with Relief Nursery is deeply meaningful to me because I’ve experienced firsthand how family support services can make a lasting difference. As a teenager, I benefited from family counseling, which helped me communicate more openly with my immigrant parents and bridge cultural and generational gaps during a formative time in my life. Recently, I’ve restarted my running journey after having two kids, and running has become an important way for me to clear my mind, process stress, and reconnect with myself. Combining this personal return to running with a cause that supports families and children feels especially powerful, and I’m proud to run in support of Relief Nursery’s mission to help families grow stronger together.
