Fatima's Journey to Fight Brain Tumor

On April 19, 2021, our sweet 14-year-old, Fatima was faced with a new challenge that would turn her world upside down.  After trying to figure out why she was experiencing sporadic seizures and headaches her doctors were able to pinpoint the root cause and provide a diagnosis. 

Our beautiful little girl has a brain tumor on her left temporal lobe. The doctors believe there is a high probability of it being cancerous, specifically a high-grade astrocytoma - which is when cells tend to grow and spread more quickly than low-grade cancer cells. 

Fatima was rushed out of Belize due to the lack of healthcare services and is expected to undergo surgery in Guatemala.    

We have created this GoFundMe on behalf of friends &family to fund the remaining cost of the surgery needed and upcoming medical expenses. Fatima has been through so much already, but she is strong, and she still manages to keep a smile and positive attitude.   

Our family is moved by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers they have already received.  They are grateful for friends and family, near and far, who have reached out to offer help.
