Fath Family Fund

Many of you know my sister, Linnie (Bowling) Fath.  I am sharing her story and asking for prayers and support for her and her family.  Since losing her husband, John, in 2004 it seems she has not been able to get a break.  She gets through one heartache and something else is happening.  Three weeks after John passed away our mom was hospitalized.  She was never able to return home and passed away in October of the same year.  We lost our dad to COPD in 2008.  Two years later her oldest son, Jonathan, had a major medical incident when his appendix burst and it was not treated right away.  He was taken to Fort Hamilton on the day it ruptured, but was sent home with pain medication.  When he returned to the emergency room three days later he was taken by helicopter to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he underwent 19 surgeries in 30 days.  Needless to say, his survival was nothing short of miraculous.  Jonathan lives at home with Linnie but is in a wheelchair, and continues to have complications.  Three years ago her daughter, Amber, had to undergo chemo and radiation therapy for HPV.  Linnie has had a few health issues over the past year or so and most recently suffered a stroke.  During her hospitalization a CAT Scan detected an Aortic Aneurysm; due to the size nothing can be done at this point and it will require additional CAT Scans over time to make sure there is no significant change.   They are hopeful for her recovery, but it will be a long road.  She has been released from the hospital to a Rehab facility.  Of course all Linnie wants to do is go home, which will happen eventually, but will require resources and changes to transition her back to as stress-free/accommodating home as possible.  Our goal in creating this account is to get household bills current, do a few minor home repairs, pay medical expenses and as much of her mortgage as possible.

More important than any donation is to lift Linnie, Jonathan, Amber and Jake up in prayer.  Please, please pray for my sister and include her name in every prayer group possible.

Any donation will be immensely appreciated.  I am always so amazed and grateful for all of the love and support everyone in Hamilton shows to Linnie and her kids.  I will try to keep this post up-to-date with her progress.

Philippians 4:6-7   Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
