Fathers Bail Out Initiative

Black Father Family’s, Fathers Bail Out Initiative, is designed to combat the criminal justice system and mass incarceration which disproportionately removes Black fathers from the household. In this effort we will combat the effects of trauma while promoting resilience through returning fathers to their families. 

We will focus on individuals who have committeed nonviolent offenses. Our goal is to raise $50,000.00 to kick off the initial state-wide campaign to begin by returning fathers home in time for Father’s Day

Research shows us that Black men are at an inherent disadvantage when it comes to the clinicians justice system. 

Black men are imprisoned at SIX times the rate of white men, according to the Washington Post—see article link below.

Nearly 1 in 12 Black men age 25-54 are incarcerated, compared to 1 in 60 nonblack men, according to the New York Times—see article link below.
