Hello, my name is Tyler Ates, and I am the father of three amazing boys—ages 17, 15, and 14. They are my pride and joy, and every decision I make is with their future in mind.
Life has been especially difficult for us lately. Even though I’ve always worked hard to provide for my family, the rising cost of living and unexpected challenges have left me struggling to make ends meet. Just recently, I started a new job in the oilfield on August 3. This opportunity is a blessing because it gives me the chance to earn more for my family, but it also comes with sacrifices. I have to leave home for six weeks at a time, which is incredibly hard on me and my boys. Being away from them isn’t easy, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to give them a stable and secure life.
Unfortunately, while I’ve been fighting to keep up, our mortgage has fallen nearly $3,000 behind, and each month the balance grows. On top of that, keeping the lights on and covering essential bills is a constant battle. My greatest fear is losing our home to foreclosure—the place where my boys have grown up, built memories, and found comfort.
I am not someone who likes asking for help, but I’ve reached a point where I cannot do this alone. My goal with this fundraiser is simple: to get caught up on the mortgage, prevent foreclosure, and make sure the power stays on at home. Every dollar raised will go directly toward keeping a roof over my sons’ heads and giving us the chance to breathe and rebuild.
My boys are good kids with bright futures ahead of them, and I want nothing more than to give them stability and the foundation they need to succeed. Any help you can give—whether it’s through a donation or simply sharing our story—means more than I can ever put into words.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your prayers.
With gratitude,
Tyler
