Several years ago, a family of four moved to Prince George’s County from Guatemala, seeking nothing more than safety and a future for their two sons. For years, they thrived, working hard, supporting themselves, and building a quiet, stable life with their boys riding bicycles around their neighborhood and playing with their friends.

That stability vanished in an instant in February. While driving to pay the family's rent, Dad was surrounded by five ICE vehicles at a red light. He was pulled from his car and detained. He hasn't been home since.

The emotional toll is devastating. Their 13-year-old is heartbroken and doesn’t want to go to school anymore, and their 11-year-old, a star student, brings home achievement certificates that his father isn't there to see. Now displaced and living with relatives, the family is struggling to survive on Mom’s income from cleaning houses.

They are facing thousands of dollars in legal fees and have no attorney to guide them. Without legal representation, this family faces permanent separation. Please help us provide this loving family with the legal defense they deserve to keep their American dream alive.

Hace varios años, una familia de cuatro integrantes se mudó al Condado de Prince George desde Guatemala, buscando nada más que seguridad y un futuro para sus dos hijos. Durante años, prosperaron: trabajando duro, manteniéndose por sí mismos y construyendo una vida tranquila y estable.
