Father of 2 Deported - Emergency Family Support

We are reaching out to our community with heavy hearts, asking you to open your hearts with compassion and solidarity for a family that has been torn apart by ICE.

On July 10th, Juve Lima was detained during the Camarillo Glasshouse ICE raid. The events that unfolded were devastating and left our family completely unprepared. As the raid unfolded, his loved ones were left in fear, unable to reach him, holding on to the hope that he might hide from ICE. Communication was completely cut off, and all we could do was stay alert and pray for his safety and freedom.

Eventually, we were able to confirm what many families still cannot, Juve was taken into ICE custody. With great sadness, we now share that he has already been deported to Mexico with no chance to fight for his freedom or a chance to say goodbye.

In the limited contact we’ve had with him, Juve shared that during the raid, he attempted to hide but ICE agents released gas into the area. The gas left him struggling to breathe, forcing him and others out of hiding. Once agents found where he was, they beat him in the back and, in order to subdue him, they tased him in the back, he witnesses many suffer the same and being shot with rubber bullets. During his deportation process, he was also threatened and mistreated by agents, a traumatic experience that has left him and our family in deep fear and pain. It breaks our hearts to hear the pain in his voice as he described how they tortured him.

Juve leaves behind two young children who are too little to understand why their father is no longer by their side. He was a devoted, loving, and gentle father, the kind who never missed a moment to hold his babies close. His absence is heartbreaking.

Juve came to the U.S. at just 15 years old, leaving his home in Jal, Mexico in search of safety, stability, and the American dream. He has lived in Oxnard, California for 13 years, nearly half his life, working long hours, never complaining, and doing everything he could to provide for his family with humility and love.

Now, we are doing everything we can to support his wife and children during this sudden and traumatic separation. We are asking for emergency community support to help with:

• Basic living costs for his family

• Emotional and legal support for next steps

• Efforts to reunite this family in the future

Estamos haciendo un llamado a nuestra comunidad con el corazón en la mano, pidiéndoles que abran sus corazones con compasión y solidaridad por una familia que ha sido destrozada por ICE.

El 10 de julio, Juve Lima fue detenido durante la redada de ICE en Glasshouse, Camarillo. Los eventos que ocurrieron fueron devastadores y dejaron a nuestra familia completamente desprevenida. A medida que la redada se desarrollaba, sus seres queridos quedaron en temor, sin poder comunicarse con él, aferrándose a la esperanza de que pudiera esconderse de ICE. La comunicación fue completamente cortada y lo único que podíamos hacer era mantenernos alertas y rezar por su seguridad y libertad.

Finalmente, pudimos confirmar lo que muchas familias aún no pueden: Juve fue detenido por ICE. Con gran tristeza ahora compartimos que ya fue deportado a México, sin ninguna oportunidad de luchar por su libertad ni de despedirse.

En el poco contacto que hemos tenido con él, Juve compartió que durante la redada intentó esconderse, pero los agentes de ICE lanzaron gas en el área. El gas lo dejó sin poder respirar, obligándolo a él y a otros a salir de sus escondites. Una vez que los agentes encontraron dónde estaba, lo golpearon en la espalda y, para someterlo, le dispararon una descarga eléctrica con una pistola táser en la espalda. Fue testigo de cómo muchos otros sufrieron lo mismo, e incluso algunos fueron heridos con balas de goma. Durante su proceso de deportación, también fue amenazado y maltratado por los agentes, una experiencia traumática que ha dejado a él y a nuestra familia con un profundo temor y dolor. Nos parte el alma escuchar el dolor en su voz al describir cómo lo torturaron.

Juve deja atrás a dos hijos pequeños, que aún son demasiado pequeños para entender por qué su padre ya no está a su lado. Fue un padre devoto, amoroso y tierno, el tipo de padre que nunca perdía la oportunidad de abrazar a sus bebés. Era una persona muy pacífica, que nunca se metía en problemas. Cualquier tiempo libre lo pasaba con su familia. Trabajaba duro y nunca se quejaba. Todo lo que quería era cuidar de los suyos. Su ausencia es desgarradora.

Juve llegó a Estados Unidos cuando tenía solo 16 años, dejando su hogar en Jal, México, en busca de seguridad, estabilidad y el sueño americano. Vivió en Oxnard, California, durante 13 años, casi la mitad de su vida, trabajando largas jornadas, sin quejarse, haciendo todo lo posible por mantener a su familia con humildad y amor.

Ahora, estamos haciendo todo lo posible para apoyar a su esposa e hijos durante esta separación tan repentina y traumática. Pedimos el apoyo urgente de la comunidad para ayudar con:

• Gastos básicos de vida para su familia

• Apoyo emocional y legal para los próximos pasos

• Esfuerzos para reunir a esta familia en el futuro
