Father, Husband, Friend in a Highway Crash.

I blame no one but myself…

On Saturday, my life changed in an instant. While riding northbound on Highway 99, I went down at 70mph. After being bucked off onto the jagged asphalt and bouncing and rolling for what felt like and eternity, I opened my eyes to see the solid yellow paint that separated my limp body from speeding vehicles going just as fast. Thank, God, i had my brothers who pulled over and ran to my aid.

The CHP, Kern County FD, and Paramedics were very kind.

I was discharged from the ER after just four hours of observation with no imaging done on my ankles. I was told it was just bruising and to “start walking or it’ll be harder later.” I declined pain meds, but when I requested a boot all the ER doc had for me were ace wraps.

My goal was to be walking after 1 week.

Days later, as the pain intensified and mobility became impossible, scans confirmed the truth: both ankles are broken.

What I thought might be just some bad road rash quickly turned out to be something far more serious- pulmonary contusions, fractured ribs, and bilateral ankle fractures (discovered after my primary ordered stat X-rays due to her clinical assessment).

I am now facing a 6–12 week recovery (best case scenario)- unable to walk, work, or provide for my family in the way I’ve always taken pride in. Worst of all wont be able to pick up my kids.

I’m a husband and father to three young children (ages 9, 7, and 4), and I’ve been a part of the motorcycle community for nearly two decades. I’m also on call for 15 hospitals, responding to critical vascular emergencies: pulmonary embolisms, deep vein thromboses, cold legs, internal bleeds, and heart attacks. I’ve always been the one rushing in when the call came.

But now, I’m the one needing help.

Between medical bills, missed income, and the cost of daily needs during my recovery, we’re navigating a tough road ahead. My wife is holding everything together, but we can’t do it alone.

If you’ve ever seen me on a group ride, helped me fix a bike, worked a case with me, or just believe in lending a hand to a family in need-please consider donating, and if it’s outside your means which I can appreciate, please share this page.

Every dollar and every share helps keep us afloat and lets me focus on healing so I can get back to doing what I love- being there for my family, my team, and the community.

Thank you for your support, your prayers, and your time.
