My name is Charlotte, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my children’s father, Kyle Shinabarger.

Just a few weeks ago, Kyle was rushed into emergency surgery after his appendix ruptured. What should have been a routine recovery turned into a serious battle with infection, leaving him hospitalized and fighting to regain his health.

During this time, life outside the hospital has completely unraveled. While focusing on survival, Kyle lost his home. His vehicle was impounded after being left behind the night he went into emergency surgery. He also lost his job—leaving him with no source of income while he struggles just to heal.

Kyle has always been a hardworking father who puts his kids first, but right now, he needs help to get back on his feet. The weight of losing everything at once while recovering from such a serious illness is overwhelming, and he simply cannot do this alone. We are not out of the clear. Due to the infection, his health began to decline, so we are actively battling through that. I will keep everyone updated as we go.

We share four children together who are extremely upset as we journey through this together. Please keep prayers in mind for us. No child should ever have the fear of losing their dad.

I’m asking for your support to help cover the basics—shelter, transportation, and living expenses—so Kyle has the stability he needs to recover fully and rebuild his life. Every single donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping him get through this heartbreaking time and back to being the loving, devoted father our kids need.

Sep 12 update

Infection seems to be moving. Currently waiting on new labs. Kids got to see their dad. Working through all the questions with the kids. Thank you to everyone who's contributed so far to help us in this time of need.

September 14th update.

They believe he has ileus now. His bowels have “stopped working”. They’re trying to correct it. Days and questions list are growing longer. Keep everyone updated as it comes.

September 15th. His bowels still aren’t working, the pain is high, still no real food. They gave him coffee to try and “wake them up” but that didn’t work. Updates soon. Please pray for a healthy recovery and thank you for everyone who’s donated and shared out post in this time of need.
