Support for a father with stage 4 lung cancer

Hi, my name is Caitlin Austin. I am the daughter of Robert Austin who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which metastasized to his liver and other organs last December. My father is still working and I would like to assist in easing his day-to-day challenges as chemo has become increasingly more painful. The funds will be provided to ease any current stressors/challenges at this time. My father served in the Navy where he met my mother, a Navy nurse in South Carolina. He cares for my mother who has symptoms related to dementia and aging although he has his own medical struggles. As I live in FL it has been hard to be present for my family while maintaining life goals. This year my father also helped facilitate the safety of my 30 year old brother who entered a long-term treatment facility due to his ongoing mental health and substance use disorder. I would really appreciate any help from friends, extended family, and anyone who is willing to help him during this challenging time. Words can’t express the gratitude I will have for the contributions to my father. He is one of the strongest, hard working and dedicated people I know. Even after chemotherapy, he attempts to work and help others.
