Father and Son in Need: Save My Tow-Truck from Auction

Help me get my tow-truck back, please.

After being misguided and taken advantage of by insurance companies, my truck has been impounded. Every day is incurring new charges while my truck, my livelihood, is inaccessible to me. Which means I have no way of earning the money needed to get the truck out of impound.

I am a single father who has immigrated here from Jamaica looking to build a beautiful life for my 14-year-old son and me. Everything depends on my ability to work, and this truck is my work.

With the bills piling up and the truck still being impounded, I am seeing no way of getting back on track before losing it all. California law states that an impounded vehicle can be auctioned after three days; as I write this, it has now been eight. A donation from you could mean the difference between all or nothing at all.

While I’ve been working with the DMV and insurance to get this straightened out, the insurance company has now filed the necessary papers under the wrong name, adding more and more days onto the impound. How and when will this end?
