Father & Son Cycling from London to Italy

Hi, my name is Guido, and my son and I have decided to take on an adventure and cycle from London all the way to Italy. we have never attempted this before so it will be fun to see the outcome.
I am 55 years old and have been recently made redundant due to circumstances caused by Covid-19. Gabriel, my son, is 19, and is just as much as of an adrenaline and active person as I am. We love to spend time together but can’t remember the last time it was just the two of us!
We are from Italy and have been thinking about of ways to go back for the summer without taking any form of public transportation, and this was our solution.
We will be going by bike all the way from London, with a stop in Rapallo (where I was born), with the final stop being Tolentino (where my son grew up).
I have always been adventurous but working full time and taking care of my beautiful family didn’t always leave room for my adventures.
Now I find myself with the time, and I finally decided to take the plunge.
Gabriel, much like me, loves adventures and extreme sports, and pushed me to make this dream come true. We love a challenge and we can’t think of a better way to have some quality father-son time whilst challenging ourselves and creating wonderful memories.
We know that it won’t be easy, but we don’t back down from a challenge.
I see this as my last chance to feel free and young again before I’m too old to attempt such craziness. And to show all of you (that may be in my same position) that nothing is impossible and it’s never too late to do what you most love or to do something out of your comfort zone.
The equipment and the arrangements that will have to be done in order to complete this journey will be costly, this is why today I ask you to sponsor us and help us to get Adventure-Ready!
We will be documenting the whole experience and give you tips along the way, so when you too decide to attempt this, you’ll be ready!

Ciao, mi chiamo Guido, ed insieme a mio figlio abbiamo deciso di intraprendere quest’avventura, e di andare in bici da Londra fino in Italia. Non ci abbiamo mai provato prima e sarà interessante vedere cosa succederà.
Ho 55 anni e di recente ho perso il lavoro a causa del corona virus, il che non ha fatto altro che alimentare la mia grinta. Gabriel, mio figlio, a 19 anni ed è tanto attivo ed adrenalinico quanto lo sono io. Amiamo passare del tempo insieme, ma con questa vita movimentata non ricordiamo l’ultima volta che abbiamo fatto qualcosa solo noi due!
Siamo italiani che vivono a Londra, e sono mesi ormai che stiamo escogitando modi per tornare in Italia senza prendere nessun mezzo di trasporto, e questa è la nostra soluzione.
Partiremo da Londra, per fermarci prima a Rapallo (dove sono nato), per finire a Tolentino (dove è nato mio figlio).
Ho sempre avuto uno spirito avventuriero ed ho passato questa passione anche a mio figlio. Sfortunatamente, lavorando a tempo pieno e dovendo mantenere la mia bellissima famiglia non ho mai avuto spazio per le mie passioni.
Ora che ho il tempo, ho finalmente deciso di buttarmi!
Gabriel come me, ama i sport estremi, e mi ha spinto a realizzare il mio sogno. Amiamo le sfide e non c’è maniera migliore di spendere tempo con mio figlio, creando ricordi meravigliosi e spingendoci oltre i nostri limiti.
Sappiamo che non sarà facile. Questa è la mia ultima occasione per sentirmi di nuovo giovane. Magari riesco anche a convincere e spronare alcuni di voi a provarci! Non è mai troppo tardi per fare ciò che si ama per quanto possa essere una pazzia.
L’attrezzatura e le accomodazioni del viaggio saranno costose, ed è per questo che oggi chiedo a voi di sponsorizzarmi per aiutarci a prepararci per questa avventura!
