Father & Son Burn Victims
Donation protected
On Friday, July 27, 2018, Stan Padfield and his son Stanley, were severely burned in a boating accident and are currently in the ICU at Kendall Regional Hospital in Miami. The father and son had been working on their boat when the accident occurred. They had initially fixed the fuel/water separator and then changed the battery not knowing fuel had leaked in the hull. The battery had sparked and caused a flash fire and both were severely burned. Gail, wife and mother, rushed them to the Lower Keys Medical Center where they were airlifted by helicopter to the Burn Trauma Unit at Kendall Regional. Both men have 2nd and 3rd degree burns on their legs and Stanley has 1st and 2nd degree burns on his hands, 1st degree burns on his face and both have undergone skin graft surgeries with more surgeries to come. This page has been set up to help with medical expenses, the long recovery ahead and relieving the financial burden for Gail, who has been staying at a local hotel so that she can be with her husband and son.
