FATE: A New Musical at FRINGE WORLD 2025

FATE is a new, original one-act musical making its public world debut at FRINGE WORLD 2025. Originally devised by the Diploma of Musical Theatre 2024 at WAAPA, we're hoping to give this inventive, contemporary musical, devised by young creatives, a new life at FRINGE WORLD 2025.

Every single donation will go towards production costs, rehearsal spaces, set and costume design, the whole shebang! However small a donation, you will be supporting a team of creatives, both emerging and experienced, to get a new and unknown show off its feet to be able to live a bigger life in the future, as well as the talented cast of local performers contributing to part of a bigger story, and helping give them an amazing platform to share their voice through this show.

About the show:

Clothos creates and spins the strings of human lives, Lachesis draws them out and gives them direction, and Atropos cuts them as the inevitable bringer of death. But when Lachesis leaves her celestial duties to experience life on Earth, she discovers love, independence, and the reality of her duty. Her sisters follow her trail and force her to pick between her new discoveries and her responsibility to humans and their fates, and Lachesis must face the heart-wrenching impact of her choices.

Set against the backdrop of a bustling 90s Chicago, this musical blends mythology and the human experience with a contemporary folk-rock score, in a story about love, loss, and the power of choice.

About Moirai:

Moirai Productions is a new independent production company founded by Sophie Boyland in 2024. It is the result of one person's found passion for telling stories that resonate with the world today in the hopes of making change in the world, and so in Moirai's first show, FATE looks to kick the start of an amazing journey off with a bang.
