On December 20, 2025, Michael Acord (@fatandfuriousone), age 53, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, was tragically killed while riding his carbon Road Glide when a driver made a U-turn directly in front of him.
My name is David Leatherman (@tampa_renegade). Michael was my best friend and my right-hand man. Losing him has left a hole that words can’t fully explain, and the loss to his family and our community is immense.
Michael was known to many as @fatandfuriousone. In the performance bagger world, he was always pushing the envelope. He had an eye for innovation, a deep love for motorcycles, and a contagious enthusiasm that pulled people in. He was the guy who would talk you into buying that part you’d been thinking about for months, not just to spend the money, but because he genuinely believed building cool parts make people happier!
What people may or may not have seen from the outside was just how selfless Michael was. He showed up. He helped quietly. He put others first, even when no one was watching. He was a provider, a protector, and the backbone of his family.
While Michael had his ducks in a row in the motorcycle world, he wasn’t fully prepared for what would happen if he was suddenly no longer here to support his family. He was the main provider and breadwinner, and his passing has left his loved ones facing not only overwhelming grief, but also an unexpected financial burden.
I am starting this GoFundMe to help support Michael’s family as they transition into life without him. The goal is to soften the immediate financial blow and give them the time and space they need to grieve without the added pressure of wondering how the bills will be paid.
How your support will help
Funds raised will go toward:
Immediate living expenses and household bills
Funeral and memorial costs
Mortgage or rent, utilities, and insurance
Transportation and day-to-day necessities
Grief support and any unforeseen expenses during this transition
If you knew Michael, you already understand why this matters. If you didn’t, you only need to look at the messages, photos, and stories being shared about @fatandfuriousone to see the impact he had. He mattered. He still matters.
Please consider donating if you are able. If you can’t, sharing this fundraiser is a powerful way to help. Every bit of support means more than we can put into words.
We all miss him terribly.
Thank you for standing with Michael’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
