Fatal Fire Devastation
Donation protected
- My heart is heavy as I create this urgent fundraiser. In the morning on Friday Nov 3, 2023, tragedy struck and the lives of Mary Tardif and her two sweet grandchildren (whom she is raising) were changed forever. Mary and her grand kids Brandon and Kaitlyn, are suffering the tragic loss of her husband Shawn in a horrific house fire. They also lost their cat and dog as well. The house along with everything they owned was completely destroyed and will not be repairable. They are now homeless staying temporarily at a hotel that the red cross helped pay for but it’s only paid until Saturday (Nov 11th) and after that they will have no where to go. My main goal is to help them get some help with affording temporary housing, food, clothing, and personal items. I didn't think to ask if the kids maybe had lost laptops they needed for school work or that type of stuff. I assume they did as now a days most high schoolers do. Aside from the need for material things such as food and a home and clothing there is also the cost of a proper funeral and burial for Shawn. How much burden can one family carry? Mary has meant so very much to me ever since I was a little girl when she was my "step-mom". She is more than just a dear sweet friend, in my eyes, she's still and always will be my "bonus mom". I really wish there was a way I could help them raise enough money to help rebuild or possibly find some type of livable structure we could put on her property for her and the children. Even a used mobile home or perhaps a camper with a heater in it. I ask on the family's behalf for any contributions of financial help no amount is too small every cent will help. They are literally rebuilding their entire lives along with grieving the loss of their husband/grampy. I ask as well if you will please pray for them for strength and comfort in their hearts in such a sad time of great loss. Thank you in advance
