Hello everyone!!!!!!!! Central Falls' FAST TRACK athlete and Calcutt Middle School student Jayla Depina has qualified for the USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships that will be held at Sacramento State-Hornet Stadium, Sacramento, California. Jayla will be competing in the 400 meter dash on Friday, July 26, 2019.
12 year old Jayla Depina and Head Coach Ernest Fennell are looking for your support to help with the cost of travel to Sacramento, California. Support is needed for Airfare, Hotel, and Ground Travel.
It all started on June 22, 2019 at the USATF New England Association Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships held at Fitchburgh State University. Jayla Depina placed 2nd In the 400 meter dash, with a time of 1:07.98.
On July 13th, at the USATF Region 1 Junior Olympic Championships held at Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, NY, Jayla placed 3rd with a career best of 1:05.76 seconds.
Jayla Depina is in her third year as a FAST TRACK athlete. She is a good student and well liked by her teammates. her smile tends to brighten up your day even when the sun is shining!
As a first year USATF participant, Jayla has had lots of success running the 400 meters. Her times are as fast as high school age athletes.
Jayla Depina is looking to experience high level competition at the National for the first time.
