I am excited to announce the publishing a print edition of Fashioning the Self in Slavery and Freedom. The magazine will feature writing, photography, and other artistic work by the founder of the site Jonathan M. Square as well as from his friends, colleagues, and other supporters of the site. Professor of history at Hunter College James Cantres (who is also featured on the cover) wrote the cover story on running and tattooing as as an act of resistance.



A contribution of at least $20 will get a copy of the magazine.  If you make a contribution of $40 or more, you get a copy of magazine and a Fashioning the Self tote bag. The new Fashioning the Self tote bag features the hand-stenciled Fashioning the Self logo and splatters of red, black, and green paint. ❤️
