Dear friends, family, and colleagues,

My future father and mother in law, Pastor Ernie and his wife Joan, two dedicated servants to their community and church, have been faced with an unexpected hardship due to the recent flooding in Rumford, Maine. While they don't reside in the affected home currently as they are housed by their church they serve, it was intended to be their retirement haven after a lifetime of selfless service to their congregation. Now, they may never see this dream become a reality nor be able to sell to buy a habitable home.

The floodwaters have left their mark on the house, rendering it uninhabitable and putting a significant financial strain on Ernie and Joan's limited retirement income. As they have always been there for others in times of need, it's now our turn to rally together and offer them the support they desperately need.

I am launching this GoFundMe campaign, "Rebuilding Hope," with the aim of raising funds to help Pastor Ernie and Joan restore their home and reclaim the tranquility they deserve in their golden years. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference and bring us one step closer to providing them with the peace of mind they need during this challenging time. Their unwavering faith in God inspires me to remember that God works in each of us to care for one another as well.
