Farrah and Mimi Fund

7 Dec:  We just let Farrah go as well.  After 8 days of tubes and tests, cones and incontinence, she just wasn't recovering.  We're convinced she wanted to go out with her soulmate, Mimi, who we put down on Friday.  We're broken, if mostly in shock and numb, and we'll need time to grieve and heal.  But thank you everyone for your financial, but mostly your emotional support, through all the posts, calls, tweets, and comments.  Please hug and kiss your furry ones for us. 

Here's to a better 2021.  Cause 2020 can kiss my goddamn ass you son of a bitch of an awful year.

5 DEC:  Yesterday, we had to make the most painful decision and let Mimi go.  The vets said she would not leave the hospital and we couldn't let her keep suffering.  But Farrah remains in ICU with bloodwork slowly trending in the right direction.  We just need her to start eating again.  Wish us luck.  And thanks again, all of you, amazing people.  You are the light in this world...as are our pets.

1 DEC:  On Thanksgiving, Mimi and Farrah started to get sick and, after a few days, stopped eating, We rushed them to the hospital where they have been in ICU all week. The doctors are not fully certain what is wrong so they are using a wide spectrum of medications.  They still aren't eating so now they have feeding tubes.   It's all touch and go and completely surreal.

Unfortunately, after both of them had major surgeries this summer, we have tapped out our pet insurance and our savings.  With all the horrible pain and suffering in the world in this crappy year, we feel terrible asking for your help.   But, in case there's anything you can offer, please know how grateful we are.

We wish all of you a healthy and happy holidays and hope that 2021 is a better year for all of us, our loved ones, our nation, and this planet.
