Farmyard Follies: A Queer Journey To The Stage

Donation protected

Farmyard Follies: A Queer Journey to the Stage is a side-splitting and heartfelt documentary film that chronicles the chaotic process of bringing Ru Paul’s Drag Race alum, Tina Burner and her writing partner, Blake Allen's original new musical to life.
Inspired by the fictional “Waiting For Guffman”, the film captures the non-fictional, behind-the-scenes antics, struggles, and delusions that ultimately result in an unforgettable one-night-only performance in Provincetown, MA.

Farmyard Follies: The Moosical is an LGBTQ-Who-Done-it. On the Fairweather Farm, it’s always sunshine and blue skies. But as feathers begin to ruffle, it soon becomes utter chaos and sheer madness when darkness falls on what was once the Picture Perfect Place.

We have been writing Farmyard Follies for almost three years. We wrote most of the musical in Provincetown, and actually finished the first draft of the musical pulling into Boston Harbor after our last show last year (2022) in Provincetown. Like Provincetown, the Fairweather Farm is a unicorn of a place, where it does not matter who you are, what you look like, or whom you love, just as long as you lead with love. But just like Provincetown, the Fairweather Farm has its on share of shenanigans, humor, and heart.

Provincetown holds some of the brightest talent assembled in one place. We love being part of the community – we feel enriched by the community and feel inspired by the characters found in the community, and this documentary will not only showcase the wonderful aspects of Provincetown and the talent hidden therein, but will also highlight how a community can come together in "no time" to put on a grand night of a musical.
