TJ STOKES BARN FIRE

TJ Stokes, who is the owner of Stokes Farms as well as the Town Supervisor of Smithfield, NY is a well-known farmer who has lost his barn due to a tragic fire. TJ is is a distinguished member of the community, as well as the local church and is known for his kindness and generosity.

At 4am on the morning Saturday November 18th, TJ awoke to the nightmare of seeing his barn engulfed in flames. Noting the severity of the situation, he immediately called for emergency services. As you can see from the pictures, it was a total loss. The equipment TJ lost in this fire is detrimental to his business. TJ is known to give the shirt off his back for someone in need and it would mean the most to those close to him if we can support him in any way possible.

In addition to the total loss of the barn itself, TJ also suffered a devastating loss of supplies, equipment, and hay. This is to include his well known Duramax powered 2005 Chevrolet 2500HD, 2 tractors, several full hay wagons, corn hoppers, and thousands of bails of hay. Additionally, this barn was the winter home for TJs well loved cattle, who will now be displaced for New York’s harsh winter.
