Hi, my name is Vicki. I am asking for help for my husband, Ron, and our family. My husband is 49 years old and has been in business as a farm mechanic for the past 27 years. On Friday, April 9, 2021, our world changed when Ron had an aortic aneurysm and 4.1cm heart dissection along with several hemorrhaging strokes, and spinal stenosis.  He spent 3.5 weeks in the ICU before moving to acute rehab.  Ron is home now, but unable to work any longer as a farm mechanic.

A few weeks back we received some devastating news. Ron's dissection has grown 2 cm larger, and he will NEVER be able to go back to working in the shop. He has a 30 pound weight limit. No pulling, pushing, or bending over for the rest of his days. They also informed us that there is no hope for surgical repair as he is too high of a risk for the surgery.  

Ron and I have been married for 18 years and are blessed to have two children, John and Madysen.  I am currently unable to be employed due to a genetic disease called CMS. Without Ron's income, we need help to support our family.  

Ron has helped MANY MANY farmers in NE Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and as far north as Canada, south as New Mexico, west as California and east as Maine get their tractor or farm equipment back in working order. He was always willing to help anyone anytime (including after hours and weekends) whether it was in person or over the telephone. He NEVER turned anyone away! He enjoyed his work ever so much! He always said, “If you do what you love, you never work a day in your life!”  Unfortunately, he can no longer work to support his family.  This is devastating to him.  Therefore, I am asking for financial help on behalf of our family.
