Our beloved nanny, Farhana, has been a part of our family for the past 2.5 years and a friendly greeter to all in our neighborhood.  Farhana has always taken care of our daughter, Rich and I like we were her own.  For the many friends she has made in Lincoln Square, she has served as a thoughtful and warm listener, making fast friends with everyone she meets.
In early January, Farhana came down with a devastating pneumonia virus; it sent her into the hospital immediately.  For the past two months, Farhana has been fighting for her life, sustained by a ventilator and undergoing a tracheotomy, among other procedures.  Her devoted family and friends have stayed by her side throughout her battle.  Unfortunately, the woman we see as being stronger than steel is slowly succumbing to the aftereffects of battling this illness for so long.  Her body has had enough.  As Abdul, Arshad and Nazma spend their final moments with their beloved wife and mother, we want to help alleviate some of the financial burden they will encounter due to medical bills.  Please contribute what you can to help this amazing and very special family in this tough time.
