We are reaching out to family, friends and supporters to help us lay Uncle Dennis (Danny) Lee Cheu to rest with the love, dignity and respect he deserves.

Uncle Danny was our first ever Western Yalanji Ranger – a proud Western Yalanji man who dedicated his life to Caring for Country. On Palmerville and across Western Yalanji homelands, he worked tirelessly to protect our sacred sites, look after the land and waterways, and keep our culture strong.

He wasn’t just a Ranger – he was a teacher, mentor and leader. Uncle Danny shared stories, language and cultural knowledge with our young ones, showing them the importance of Country and identity. He welcomed people onto Western Yalanji Country, helped build connections with Palmerville, and made sure our history and culture were always front and centre.

His passing has left a big gap in our community, our families, and on Country.

We are kindly asking for donations to help cover funeral costs and sorry business, including:
