Farewell to Alicia: Support Her Final Wishes
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my mom, Alicia Klaes. She passed away peacefully with myself, my husband, and her granddaughter by her side on May 30th. She was battling heart failure due to having cancer that was spreading throughout her body. We are heartbroken and trying to navigate this difficult time.
My mom did not have life insurance; she recently retired in December at the age of 74. She worked for 25 years as a support provider for adults who have developmental disabilities. Before that, she worked in nursing homes caring for the elderly. She was a very compassionate person who cared for others deeply and one of the best moms a daughter could have. Everyone who knew her also knew of her quick wit and funny one-liners. She leaves behind myself, her granddaughter Ava, her grandson Phoenix, her son-in-law Guy, and her good friend Sarah.
We are facing a significant financial burden to cover the costs of her wishes. We are seeking assistance to help us give my mom a dignified farewell.
We are grateful for any contributions, no matter how small. We understand that many of you are also going through difficult times, and any support would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and support during this heartbreaking time.
With Love, Heather
