Caya Shobo's dear friend and teacher Maestro Pedro Pacaya Valera passed away yesterday after several months of weakness and general frailty.

We are so sad to say goodbye to this great man and generous teacher of the Shipibo medicine tradition. Pedro was a dear, kind-hearted soul. We will miss his beautiful songs, his warm laughter, and his powerful example of engaging with life with courage, love and one's committed prayer.

Please help us provide some material relief to his family, to assist with burial and funeral costs and short-term living needs for his wife and grandchildren.
