Farewell Andrew Armstrong

Three days ago, Andrew Armstrong passed away, a victim of circumstances he felt were beyond his control. A man of fierce independence, glorious laughter, exceptional craftsmanship, a gift for music, and, perhaps most importantly, a loving father to Emersyn, Andrew was beloved by many. Andrew was an accomplished guitar player, singer, and songwriter, his talents enjoyed by all who knew him.

Andrew has left behind his almost two-year-old daughter Emersyn, who will grow up not knowing her father, who will wonder what happened to him. While much of what he owned will be left to her, she will not have a father to take her to the park, to walk her to her first day of school, to hug her when she stumbles, to save up for her college tuition.

As a family, we have been working to assess Andrew’s assets, but we do not even know yet whether he had life insurance in his name. This is a challenging time for us, and with the difficulty comes the cost. There are two cars to sell, a home to put up on the market (which may need work done before it can be sold), bills to pay off, utilities to pay until we can get the power of attorney for canceling them, and funeral expenses to be covered.

We are asking for your help in guaranteeing all extenuating expenses are covered. We are also asking for your help in ensuring Emersyn has a bright future ahead of her despite the cloud of darkness that she doesn’t know has fallen around her. Whatever you can donate would be more than appreciated.
