Hi All,

For those who may not be aware, Joe has made the difficult decision to step away from his role here at Avonmouth to focus on his health and recovery.

In late September 2024, Joe suffered a stroke at home and was away from work for some time. Although he made a brave attempt to return he found that the demands of the role were not supporting his recovery. After careful consideration he has chosen to resign in order to prioritise his well-being.

Joe has been an integral part of the Avonmouth Depot since its opening in October 2012. As one of the original team members he has contributed immensely over the years, particularly within the Stock Team which consistently performed well under his leadership.

He will be greatly missed by everyone here. As a gesture of our appreciation we’re organising a collection so Joe can treat himself to something special—something he truly wants and deserves—rather than receiving a bundle of gifts that may not hit the mark.
